JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for one or more candidates with significant experience, knowledge and capability in
civil site design. To be considered, candidates must be intelligent, hard-working, and self motivated.
The successful candidate will be trained and gain experience in project and client
management as well as specific surveying relevant to engineering projects, by the company’s
Principal PE/PLS/CWRE.

  • Projects often require engineering skills in civil site design (industrial, commercial and
    residential), engineering calculations (including hydrology and some structural, etc.),
    water/wastewater systems design, surveying and mapping, partitions, land use planning,
    water rights, and some railroad siding/crossing design.
  • This position will also prepare plans and specifications, perform project observation and
    contractor bidding/billing reviews, coordinate with sub-consultants and government
    agencies as needed, review/estimate prospective projects and prepare written scope of work
    for contract agreements with clients.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required.
  • Must have Engineering Intern (EI) certification and a minimum of three years of related
    experience.
  • PE license is desired.
  • CAD design experience is desired.
  • Preference may be given to those applicants with experience in construction and related
    activities, as well as surveying and AutoCAD Civil 3D design.
  • This position may require working independently using a robotic total station or RTK GPS
    system.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting equipment (30-60 pounds) may be necessary from time-to-time.
  • Applicant must have the ability to walk medium distances over rugged terrain while carrying
    equipment.
  • During construction observation, must be able to stand for long periods of time.

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • The wage will be negotiable based on the applicant’s qualifications and experience.

This is a full time, permanent technical position in the surveying consulting field. The position will be part of an office team of engineers, surveyors, and technical/administrative support personnel. Minimum requirements include: Associate degree in land surveying or abillity to show experience based knowledge, experience with CAD, LSI preferred. We desire a candidate who is serious about pursuing professional licensure.

JOB SUMMARY
This is a full time, permanent technical position in the surveying consulting field. The position
will be part of an office team of engineers, surveyors, and technical/administrative support
personnel. Day to day job responsibilities vary and will depend on the candidate’s individual
experience and skills. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of a
professional civil engineer and/or land surveyor.
Typical Projects include: land divisions, property line adjustments, boundary surveys, water
rights surveys, easements, topographic survey work for (our) design of industrial, commercial,
and residential sites, construction staking for our site designs, as-built surveys of our projects,
sometimes surveying for indoor placement of industrial equipment, flood elevations, and some
construction staking for projects designed by others.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree in land surveying is required or the ability to show experience based
    knowledge.
  • Experience with CAD required.
  • LSI preferred.
  • We desire a candidate who is serious about pursuing professional licensure.
  • This position will require working independently in the field with a robotic total station
    or RTK GPS system; sometimes with an additional field crew member.
  • Applicants must have field surveying experience/training as well as good math and
    communication skills.
  • The successful candidate will have the ability to organize and prioritize the work load
    balancing the needs of several project managers/Clients.
  • Must be experienced in preparation of survey maps for exhibits and recording and
    creating topo maps from downloaded data.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Lifting equipment (30-60 pounds) will be required.
  • Work will often be outdoors in all kinds of weather. Applicants must have the ability to
    walk long distances over rugged terrain while carrying equipment.
  • Preference may be given to those applicants with experience in construction and
    related activities, as well as surveying and drafting.
